This place is amazing. I went there with a group and we all got different plates and sampled off of eachother. The flavors were just out of this world. You NEED to try this place! If you want something different or unique that will have you wanting more this is the place to go. Compliments to the chef!

We’ve been here multiple times for breakfast and it’s still one of our favorite places! The iced latte with almond milk is my go to coffee. The cheese danish, strawberry danish, regular croissant, and ham/cheese croissant are to die for. We love simple pastries so these are our go to choices but they also have a variety of other options to choose from. The staff is friendly, the bathrooms are clean, and the vibes are calming. You walk in, order at the counter, then find a table and they bring your order to you. I like the setup of grabbing your own silverware, water cup, and napkins - it helps keep down waste and needing to wash unused items. We are repeat customers and will be back again! Thank you!

Had such a great food experience at Kettle on Coast during their soft launch! I went with my daughter and we tried the Aleppo chicken with chermoula tahini and preserved lemon relish, along with the crispy fingerling potatoes upon toum, berbere butter, and pickled onion—absolutely outstanding. The chicken was incredibly crispy with a beautiful depth of flavor—the Aleppo spice paired perfectly with preserved lemon and the yummy herby, nutty chermoula tahini. Every bite felt layered and intentional. The potatoes were just as memorable—crispy on the outside, soft inside, with the toum, rich berbere butter, and sweet pickled onions - I really loved this one! You can taste the creativity in each dish—these aren’t flavors you come across everyday, and they’re paired together so well without feeling overdone. It’s exciting to see a talented chef bringing this level of originality to Oceanside. Wishing the chef and team huge success—can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu and see them grow!

im an out-of-tower visiting oceanside for a few days and was searching for a decent local coffee spot during my stay. the horchata latte is phenomenal, and their espresso is also very good. as someone who works in craft coffee i did really enjoy the drinks here! the shakshuka is also wonderful, extremely filling and i love the different flavor profiles this place offers on their food menu. my only complaint is: i wanted to buy a bag of beans to take home but, the retail shelf had beans that were roasted on 4/28, which is fairly old. i wish they had a fresher bag for me to purchase. other than that, an amazing coffee shop! def would recommend dropping by if you haven’t already (((:

Finally a cafe with amazing food choices! The flavors of the menu are unlike anything i have seen at another breakfast place before. Myself and my husband tried the shakshuka, tres leches French toast, culber, and the fried chicken. Each dish has its own completely different flavor profile but all felt related and wasn’t weird to mix and match. The coffee was so rich and flavorful as well. All staff were professional, friendly, and on top of anything we needed. We live about 30 minutes away, but we will make any excuse to make the drive out for this place.

Had a great latte and chocolate croissant in the beautiful morning sun! Already came back a second time to try out some of their special brunch dishes. We loved the Aleppo chicken and the eggplant dish. The dishes are meant to be shared and they all have a unique twist to them. We tried several of their specialty coffees as well from flat white to lavender latte and London fog and they were great!

Went for the soft opening this week, drove up from Lakeside, and man was that a great decision. Found parking easily, location is in the beautifully refaced downtown Oceanside just off the 5 freeway. Was able to get a perfect table after ordering, and was welcomed with warm sentiment. Ordered the chai latte to drink, which tasted as heavenly as smelled, a cheese danish that was rich and creamy with a kindly sweet glaze and soft texture. For mains, I couldn’t decide, so I got a few things; Turkish Eggs, Shakshuka Verde, and the Aleppo Chicken. The Turkish Eggs had me going back for more throughout the whole meal with its rich flavors from the herbs, to the soft crunch of the pine nuts. The only downside was that I didn’t have room to finish it along with my other meals! The Naan with it’s African grains, proved amazing for my gluten sensitive stomach, and it’s texture was unlike anything I’ve ever had. 11/10 The Shakshuka Verde was unbelievable because it was so different and yet still familiar to what I’ve known to be the dish. So hearty, and fresh with it’s herbs and bright with the tomatillo—it matches perfectly with the house made fresh bread served to it’s side. The African influence was very present in this with its spice palate, but held true to the Mediterranean format. 10/10 The Aleppo chicken could have swept me off my feet and taken me back to the Silk Road. The tahini base I wanted to dip into with every single bite—the mouth feel of it was welcome in contrast to the crunch of the chicken skin, and was perfectly balanced with the preserved lemon. 10/10 I was getting tired of the same-ol-same-ol brunch places with avocado toast and Japanese pancakes, so Kettle on Coast is a great place to break away from the monotony and expand my palate into new cultures. I will 1000% be back to eat whatever the AMAZING Chef David creates, and because of the dog menu—I’ll be bringing my pups!

Coffee shop breakfast reimagined Holy shnikes Batman! This a culinary adventure that leaves you with your eyes rolling back in your head, body shaking, and desiring just one more nibble. The innovative menu is a trip to multiple continents. I have never had a coffee shop provide Michelin quality food at affordable prices. Sorry Givino, your chef surpassed your coffee, which is delectable as always. The dog friendly environment and menu bring a world of joy and smiles to all. The decor is a nod to African design and your grandma’s kitchen. Memories, comfort, caffeine, and full bellies guarantee a return visit. I am proud to see The Kettle On continue to grow and enrich the communities around each location. That Bib is on its way.

We recently visited Kettle on Coast, and it did not disappoint! I was especially excited about the menu—usually, to find something this unique and high quality, you have to drive all the way into San Diego. Having this in our own backyard is amazing! 🤩 My daughter was so excited for breakfast but couldn’t decide between the pancakes or French toast… so we got both (of course!), along with the Turkish eggs. Everything was incredible—we cleaned our plates! The chef has created a beautiful, thoughtful menu. And for those who loved Petite Madeleine, no need to worry—they kept the same bakers, so all the desserts and pastries we know and love are still just as delicious. 🙌🏽 The baristas are top-notch and truly know how to craft quality coffee. The service was just as impressive—my 9-year-old daughter felt so special. They took the time to answer her questions and offer recommendations, which meant a lot. When we finished, I asked her if she enjoyed it, and she said, “When can we come back for lunch?” That pretty much says it all! You can tell the owner is building something really special—very family-oriented and community-focused. After hearing about how involved his other locations are, I’m excited to see what he brings to Oceanside. We will definitely be back!

A Culinary Masterpiece (and an Apology to Jasmine!) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are looking for your standard, run-of-the-mill bacon 🥓 🥓 and eggs 🥚🍳🥚, keep driving. Kettle on the Coast is doing something entirely different, and my taste buds are officially spoiled forever. The uniqueness of their menu is unmatched! I ordered the Cilbur (Turkish Eggs), and pairing it with the teff naan is an absolute game-changer. We also tried the Aleppo Fried Chicken, which is perfectly crispy and topped with a brilliant lemon relish that balances the heat beautifully. For dessert, my sister and I shared the Matcha Bread Pudding—do not skip this! It pairs magnificently with a hot cup of coffee ☕☕☕. Now, for a quick public confession 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽: I arrived completely famished, which is a polite way of saying I was deeply "hangry." 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫I was a bit impatient 🥴🥴🥴with Jasmine who's behind the counter taking my orders. Instead of matching my energy, Jasmine was incredibly kind, patient, and friendly. After my food arrived and I transformed back into a civilized human being, I apologized and told her, "I just needed a Snickers bar!" Thankfully, Jasmine laughed and accepted my apology 😁🙏🏽😁🙏🏽 Incredible food, unique flavors, and staff that can handle a hangry customer with absolute grace. We will definitely be back (next time, I'll eat a snack beforehand)! 😉😉😉😉
